INSTITUTE OF APPLIED RESEARCH
For decades, Hispanagar has held the position of world leadership in the manufacture and sale of bacteriological agar and agarose. Among its clients are some of the most prestigious companies in the ever expanding field of Biotechnology.
To maintain its leadership position, Hispanagar has created the Institute of Applied Research, an independent organization dedicated to develop applications of agar and agarose. Its most recent products are activated agarose beads to be used in affnity chromatography purification and immobilization of biomolecules, as well as non activated agarose beads for size exclusion chromatography.
The Institute of Applied Research supports research on new techniques to develop innovative products. An additional important aspect of the Institute activity is supporting and participating in advanced research projects at research centers and universities by providing advice and technology.
