The bacteriological agar is used as a gelling agent in the preparation of culture media. Hispanagar offers a wide range of bacteriological agars<\/a> whose main advantage is the absence of inhibitors that may mask the optimal development of microorganisms. In addition, our agars have other properties such as transparency, high hysteresis, and lot-to-lot reproducibility. <\/p>\n

In today’s post, we are going to talk about the European Bacteriological Agar. It is one of the most used bacteriological agars in the preparation of culture media and in other routine microbiology applications.  <\/p>\n

The European Bacteriological Agar has a high gel strength ranging from 800-1100 g\/cm\u202f2\u202fand is used in concentrations from 1.0% to 2.0%. <\/p>\n

Our European Bacteriological Agar is subjected to strict controls that determine its physicochemical parameters and guarantee the absence of hemolytic substances and inhibitors.
