Derivatized agaroses are agaroses obtained by modifying their natural chemical structure. Thanks to this process, they have different final properties, thus expanding the range of possible applications.<\/p>\n

At Hispanagar, we have 2 categories of derivatized agaroses<\/a>. On one hand, there are Low Melt agaroses, with low melting and gelling points compared to standard agaroses. The low melting temperature allows for the recovery of intact and biologically active nucleic acids, undamaged by temperature. The low gelling temperature ensures that the agarose will be in a liquid state within a temperature range where In-Gel manipulations can be performed without the need for prior DNA extraction.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the Molecular Screen agaroses are also chemically modified to obtain a structure that improves the separation of small nucleic acid fragments and the resolution between very similarly sized fragments. Even when used at high concentrations, the result is very clear and transparent gels.<\/p>\n
