This project receives funding from Horizon Europe, the EU&#8217;s Research and Innovation Framework Programme.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>The objective of this project is the revaluation of the waste obtained in the processing of algae through:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span><span><span><span><span>Optimizing the cultivation parameters of algae.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><span><span><span><span><span>The development of a new concept of blue biorefinery.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><span><span><span><span><span>The extraction of high value-added ingredients.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><span><span><span><span><span>The development of new products adapted to the market.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>Hispanagar, as an expert in algae processing, plays its role by supplying the consortium with samples for obtaining beneficial and functional ingredients from the generated waste. Subsequently, partners specialized in different market areas, from food and feed to cosmetics, will be responsible for developing products whose formulation includes new ingredients derived from them. In this way, it aims to reduce environmental impact and support the sustainable policies of the European Union.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>If you want to know more about this project, the CIRCALGAE consortium has just started a new <em>newsletter<\/em> to keep you updated.
